SNOW, Snow and more snow

For those of you who live in an area where snow in the winter is not news I apologize for being such a reactionary. But, here in the PNW snow is BIG news when it happens especially this much at one time.

Church services were cancelled. Schools are not opening. Many stores are open only for a few hours during mid-day.

The road to Quirky Cottage is under this big tree

There is 15 inches outside our door and it is STILL SNOWING.

Fortunately we still have power -- some people don't. This is a great time for me to do some of the reading I've been wanting to do.

We have had one casualty. Cottage Master was shoveling a walkway and when he wiped the sweat from his brow he discovered that he was no longer wearing his eyeglasses. No amount of retracing his steps and digging in the snow uncovered them.

Personally, I don’t understand how someone could have their glasses drop off and not notice it – but DD says it makes sense to her. She always did like him better!!!!!!
