Sneak Peek at kitchen make-over

Here are the raw materials for my kitchen make-over. I know, I know, I need to strip that wall paper off but I thought if I started with something fun I’d feel more like doing the hard work later. I have picked out a Behr paint named Moon Mist for the wall color. It is a pale yellow.

I found the table cloth and the tray at the same vintage shop downtown. The table cloth will become a new curtain over the sink.

I looked all over town and the Internet for cabinet pulls that I liked. It’s an old recurring story: I can’t afford what I like and don’t like what I can afford. Then I had one of those ideas that will either be brilliant or a bomb, we’ll wait to see which. I plan to paint the existing pulls red and for the upper cabinets I'll glue a thrift store $.29 spoon for a touch of whimsy.

I love the spoon drawer pull idea! The color combo will be wonderful for your kitchen...so cheery.

A red kitchen, I love it. I saw some handles like you are making in a decorating magazine recently and they looked really good.

You should show us what you also would like (if money were not the factor). I'm curious which ones tripped your trigger.

How about these?
