This last one is a very large apartment building, circa 1900. Here you can see that is has three different types of sidings. Quirky Cottage has three different sidings as well but it is not near as artistic. QC has been remodeled so many times and the siding chosen each time was whatever was cheapest. Hubby does not share my amusement or enjoyment of the multiple vertical and horizontal planes -- but I say it just adds to the "Quirky"!

You should explain to hubby how the "imperfections" add the charm and character we all love... as in houses, so are people!
